This is a cute book for very young children. I feel like it talks about being nice to animals and also enjoy being a kid. Playing outside and in the little pond they have.A good bedtime story for sure.

Beautiful graphics and starter book for young kids. We loved the story and the lessons of empathy, friendship and curiosity. The appreciation for nature and wildlife just outside your own door is a great lesson at any age.

Such an endearing story about a boy and his new friend, a woodland duck. The story is rich with descriptions of their activities and their play space. I will definitely read this to my grandchildren. It encourages children to spend time outside and to treat nature kindly. I'm hoping this author will write more similar stories.

Very Cute Book, a Bit Uneventful but Enjoyable Nonetheless

Upon reading this book, I found it to be about a cute friendship with a kid and a duck. They’re an unlikely pair for sure, but all the illustrations and the plot itself was interesting! Descriptions are very vivid and as mentioned before, the art is very gripping. Throughout the story a little boy, named Benjamin, meets a duck that he named Honka. The pair grow close and over the story spend more time together, and… that’s it. Well it’s obviously a book for children, I think the plot could’ve went deeper. The only conflict present occurred when the duck was missing for a brief few minutes… although books don’t NEED conflict, I think it would make it more interesting to a child. But from an adult literary perspective, it was just cute.
